I just want a bid. Why are you asking me for my preferred budget?

We have heard some people tell us that agreeing on a number first is backwards thinking. And perhaps for them, it is. But for ensuring your ultimate satisfaction, it’s really not… and here’s why: It’s just probably just not what you are used to. Please bear with us here while we explain what we mean… For starters, we are not Amazon. This is not Walmart. You’re not shopping two or three identical items on a shelf with slightly different prices. You’re not looking at gas prices on three different corners and going to the cheapest one. No. This is completely different because it’s a creative project with capability to put controls in place over the cost of work and hone in on what scope of work fits it based on your priorities, must haves, and yes… we will work as hard as we can to get you as many of the “wants” as possible that also fit within your budget. Alternatively, we will help consult with you to find other ways of getting there at a price point you are comfortable with. Bottom line: factoring in all the peripheral areas of your property with all of your individual preferences will likely be a collaboration that takes a fair amount of back and forth between you and our design team. The initial scope of work you first call us out to work on is likely not 100% exactly the same as the actual scope of work you will end up having done. And if we start working with you aiming at a moving target, it’s leaving the door wide open to misunderstanding and frustration unless we spend the right amount of time collaborating with you and our design team on what exactly we are setting out to do.
